Portrait of woman with short hair in white t-shirt staring at camera

Since graduating from Sydney College of the Arts with first-class honours and a major in Photo media, I have worked with renowned photography artists and creative studios locally and overseas. After completing my studies, I had the opportunity to assist Australian fashion photographer Richard Bailey before embarking on an exciting adventure to New York City and London in 2003.

Upon arriving in London, I wasted no time finding an agent and began shooting for numerous women's magazines. It was an exhilarating period in my career, and I felt honoured when I was commissioned to shoot KT Tunstall's first album cover in 2004. The success of that project opened doors for me, and I was fortunate to receive commissions from several record labels to photograph some of the UK's biggest acts, including The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, Jamie T, and Florence & the Machine. Additionally, I regularly contributed my work to publications such as NME, i-D, Marie Claire UK, Time Out London, Oyster Magazine, Esquire, Vogue Nippon, Vogue China, Company Magazine, Grazia UK, and Fabulous Magazine.

Throughout my journey, I have always cherished working with people—people are my passion, and that's what I live by.

I have taken on roles as a director at First Draft Gallery and as a manager at General Pants, which has given me invaluable knowledge in providing exceptional service, a vital aspect of my profession. I have also developed close relationships within the industry and continue collaborating with many esteemed colleagues and clients. Adapting to new environments and adjusting my style to meet each client's unique preferences has always been an exciting challenge that I embrace wholeheartedly. My client roster includes The Australian, Wish Magazine, Palmer's Coco Butter, SJB Australia, and John Holland.

In my personal life, I am now based in Sydney with my husband, two young kids, a ragdoll cat, and a Labradoodle dog. After the initial COVID lockdown, I embarked on a side hustle with Jess Ibbett called Creative Women's Business. Initially, it served as a means to connect with other creative women, but it has since evolved into something much more meaningful.

When it comes to influences, I draw inspiration from the works of Martin Parr, Tina Barney, Tim Walker, Patti Smith, and Helmut Newton. Their artistic contributions have significantly shaped my style and vision, and I hold their work in high regard.

Overall, I am grateful for the experiences and achievements that have shaped my career in photography. I am passionate about making meaningful connections, capturing moments, and delivering outstanding service. I look forward to continuing my journey, expanding my portfolio, and embracing new opportunities.

Learn to Love the Camera was born out of my love of helping. My goal is to assist everyone in feeling self-assured and gorgeous when posing for photos.
